Deep Creek is in The Smoky Mountain National Park. It is only 20 minutes from Hideaway Point. It is one of my favorite places to go in North Carolina. I love tubing down the fast flowing river with my family. It is a great place for a picnic and laugh with your friends. We bring cheetos to eat after we float down the river. There are great camp sites right along the river and people are always chillaxing in hammocks. It is fun to float down the river with goggles. There are lots of places to rent tubes on the road leading to the National Park.

It is also a beautiful place to go for a walk. There is a waterfall, cool rocks and big green trees hiding the river from the sun. At the end of the river there is a big stone bridge. There are smooth and slippery rocks and some spiky ones that you can get scraped on when you are floating down the rapids. I love the way the moss squishes between my toes when I get out at the end of the float.
