We bought this property and named it Hideaway Point, because we know (first hand) the benefit of “hiding away.” Making time and space for important things is a practice that saved our family and it continues to be a discipline that serves us well.
Welcome to Hideaway Point! We are the Goodgame family. In 2013 we moved to New Zealand, to "hide away" and create space for our family (that was a bit of a wreck at the time). We've made lots of planned and unplanned transitions since then - one of them was buying an adventure lodge in North Carolina. You can learn more about our family and by following us on Instagram @hideawaypoint.
We hope Hideaway Point will be a place where you find a little bit of what you need - whatever that may be. Slowing down isn’t easy, but (speaking from experience) it reaps a reward that is greater than the cost.
Our three homes are located in the heart of the Nantahala Gorge only 15 minutes from downtown Bryson City. Hideaway Point is a great basecamp for adventure or relaxation. Check out the links below for more photos and information about The Holiday House, The Hostel and The Hideout.
